Who We Are

YES DART is a Texas specific-purpose political committee (SPAC) supporting a YES vote to continue DART in Plano.
We are not affiliated with DART or the City of Plano.

What We Collect

  • Contact information you provide (name, email, phone number, zip code).

  • Volunteer information you submit (availability, interests, notes).

  • Donation information you provide through our donation processor and/or forms, including information required for compliance and reporting (e.g., contribution amount/date and donor identifying details).

  • Limited technical data (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) through standard website analytics.

How We Use Information

  • Communicate about volunteering, events, and campaign updates.

  • Process contributions and maintain required records.

  • Comply with applicable campaign finance and other legal requirements.

  • Improve our website and outreach.

Donations, Reporting, and Public Record

Donations to YES DART are not tax deductible.

Anonymous donations are not accepted. If donor identity cannot be reasonably documented, the contribution will be declined.

Donor and contribution information may become public record through required campaign finance filings and other reporting required by law. YES DART files campaign finance reports with the City Secretary, City of Plano (1520 Municipal Ave, Plano, TX).

In addition to required filings, YES DART may publish contribution and expenditure information as part of our transparency practices. This may include contributor name (or entity name), city/state, date, and amount, along with expenditure vendor and purpose. PAC contributions (up to $5,000 per PAC) will be published for full transparency.

Contribution cutoff: YES DART does not accept contributions (monetary or in-kind) after May 1, 2026.

In-Kind Contributions

If you provide an in-kind contribution (goods or services), we may be required to record details about the contribution (description, date received, reasonable valuation method, and supporting documentation).

If donor identity or valuation cannot be reasonably documented, YES DART will decline the contribution.

Volunteer Information

We do not sell volunteer information and we do not share volunteer information with other organizations for marketing purposes.

However:

  • Volunteer participation may occur in public settings (meetings, events), where you could be identified by media or other attendees.

  • We may use volunteer information internally to coordinate outreach and assign volunteer roles.

Text Messages and Emails

If you opt in to receive texts, you agree to receive campaign/volunteer messages from YES DART. Message & data rates may apply. You can opt out by replying STOP (texts) or using the unsubscribe link (emails), where available.

Service Providers

We may use trusted vendors (such as website hosting, email services, and donation processors) to operate our website and campaign. These vendors may have access to information only as needed to perform services for YES DART.

Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information we collect. No system can be guaranteed 100% secure.

Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
